"Thank you for enquiring with regards to the floristry courses in the village, I have been amazed at the interest.

Speaking to people about what they would like and pulling this all together, I have decided to start with a 5 week course running through June and July. These will run every other week as the flowers tend to last and you can quickly become overrun when doing them weekly.

They will be held at Inkpen Village Hall from 7pm – 8.30pm.

Session fees will be £20 per person which will include use of tools, wires, tape and foam as required. Along with refreshments each week and a starter pack on the first night that will include a plastic wallet, sketch book and pencil to record your ideas and inspirations as you go along.

In addition to this, you will need to bring with you a range of materials (foliage, flowers and vase, wrapping etc according to that week’s arrangement) this works well if you have containers at home and a garden with a range of flowers and foliages.

Alternatively, you can purchase a flower kit each week which will contain all the flowers, foliage, containers, accessories etc that you will need and will be priced between £15-£25 per week depending on the arrangement. These can be purchased on a week by week bases as required.

Programme:

Tuesday 1st June – Summer Door Wreath – a wreath is not just for Christmas and your door deserves to feel special. We will kick off this 5 week course with a summer inspired door wreath which can also be used as a table arrangement

​

Tuesday 15th June – Handtied Bouquet – learn how to make a beautiful handtied bouquet using the spiral technique. I will talk you through the best type of flowers to use to get the ‘wow’ factor. Then I will show you how to wrap your finished design and add an aqua pack to finish.

​

Tuesday 29th June –Summer through the Looking Glass. Using a large goldfish bowl we will create a beautiful summer arrangement within the confines of the bowl. Beautiful from whatever angle its viewed.

Tuesday 13th July – Flower Crowns – finally able to attend some events this summer? why not stand out from the crowd with a gorgeous Flower Crown. I will talk you through step by step how to wire and assemble your crown.

Tuesday 27th July – Dinner Party Decorations – ready to invite friends round again with this session I will show you how to make a table runner arrangement with matching table settings.

Payment of the session fee is required to secure your place, but flower kits can be paid for on the night. The session fee is non refundable unless we go into a further covid related lockdown, but you can transfer to a session at a later date if you are unable to attend due to illness.

There will need to be a minimum number of attendees required in order for the sessions to run.
